Top 14 – UBB: Guido Petti absent for two months

The images had made us fear the worst. Left injured in the right knee during the match between the Springboks and the Pumas last weekend, Guido Petti returned to Bordeaux on Tuesday on crutches.

He will retake additional exams but there is no problem with the crossesannounces Christophe Urios. It’s more of a big impact on the cartilage. But we are still going on an absence of two months.

Last January, the Argentinian international had been operated on for a meniscus on the same knee and had to wait until the end of May to resume competition.

Reinforcement soon?

Bad news especially in the sector of the key where the UBB is not sovereign at the start of the season. “It did not escape you that we lost players (note: Woki and Roumat) who were rather comfortable in touchrecalls the manager, and we knew that Guido was going to be able to overcome this difficulty.

This injury makes the arrival of a reinforcement in the third line more urgent. “It will soon evolve“ slipped Urios on Tuesday.

This Saturday against the Stade Français, the Union will however be able to count on its other Argentinian international, Santiago Cordero, very twirling during the day’s session. As well as on Jefferson Poirot (cervical) and Sipili Falatea (elbow) who resumed normally. On the other hand, Madosh Tambwe (crutch) will only resume training next week. Just like Pierre Bochaton (knee). Zack Holmes (adductors) is already forfeited.

Finally the staff awaits the return this Thursday to training of Bastien Vergnes (adductors), Ugo Boniface (knee) and Jandre Marais (sick).
