Top 14 – UBB: Cameron Woki announced leaving this summer for Racing 92

Finally, the clash between UBB manager Christophe Urios and its two leaders Matthieu Jalibert and Cameron Woki may have had consequences beyond the final phase of the Top 14. While the Union had been discussing for several weeks with the second or third international line for a contract extension beyond its current expiry in 2023, the Midi-Olympique newspaper announced on Thursday that Cameron Woki will not be present at the resumption of UBB training this summer but that he will join Racing 92 in the next few weeks.

According to the specialized newspaper, the president of Racing Jacky Lorenzetti would have succeeded in convincing the player trained in Bobigny then passed through Massy in the Paris region to join Ciel et Blanc. An agreement would have been reached with the Union Bordeaux-Bègles to release him from his last year of contract. No confirmation for the moment from the UBB side but the club does not deny the information either. Cameron Woki, Grand Slam winner with the XV of France, has been at UBB since 2017. He has played 96 matches with the Union in the Top 14 and in the European Cup.
