‘Too intense’: Burger King offers ‘real’ cheeseburger with… 20 slices of yellow cheese

Fast food company Burger King has given a whole new meaning to the word “cheeseburger” by adding to its menu a sandwich consisting of just two buns and 20 slices of American yellow cheese.

“I only managed to eat half of it. That’s a crazy amount of cheese added to a burger. Food is good when the ingredients are well combined,” noted Im Jeepetch, a 25-year-old engineer, wiping his mouth.

In an interview with CNN, the young adult called “a little too much” the brand new sandwich from Burger King, which the company describes as a “real cheeseburger”, sold since Sunday in branches in Thailand only.

The product, which retails for 109 baht – around $4.13 – was however deemed a little “too intense” by several consumers, despite the cheese’s popularity among young Thai customers, which could explain the idea behind the product, a indicated the American media.

“I may not try it again. I like a few slices of cheese in my burger, but that’s too much,” Alisa Chuengviroj, a 26-year-old entrepreneur, told CNN.

On its Facebook page, Burger King Thailand clarified that it was possible to add more cheese to the sandwich, for customers who were not yet satisfied.

The CNN article, however, does not specify whether the product could eventually cross the ocean.
