Tony Finau wins the Rocket Mortgage Classic

(Washington) American Tony Finau scored a second straight victory on the North American PGA Tour, winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit on Sunday, a week after winning the 3m Open in Minnesota .

The last player to achieve such a double is Brendon Todd, who won the Bermuda Championship in 2019 and then the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

Finau, 32, returned a card of 67 on Sunday, or 5 strokes under par, with six birdies, ending the course with 26 strokes under par, the best score in the history of this tournament created in 2019.

Its bogey at 11e hole ended his bogey-free 64-hole streak, the best streak of his career.

Finau won his fourth PGA title, five strokes ahead of his three pursuers, Americans Patrick Cantlay and Cameron Young, and Canadian Taylor Pendrith.
