Tom Parker, member of boy band The Wanted, dies aged 33 from brain tumor

Indeed, Tom Parker, member of the British boy band The Wanted died of a brain tumor. He was then 33 years old. While he was still with his acolytes for the past few days, his wife Kelsey took the floor to announce the terrible news on Instagram this Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Beneath a photo of the new father of two children Aurélia (two years old) and Bodhi (one year old), Kelsy wrote the following message: “It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Tom passed away peacefully today, with all of his family by his side. We are heartbroken. Tom was the center of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. We are truly grateful for all the love and support and ask that we all come together to make sure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thanks to everyone who supported him throughout his care, he fought until the very end. I am forever proud of you.”

The group The Wanted had become known thanks to the tube Glad You Came. Separated in 2014, the singers met again in 2021 to support their friend Tom Parker in his fight against the concert. Thus, they released a best-of album and embarked on a multi-concert tour. It was in 2020 that he was diagnosed with the brain tumor.

At that time, the specialists were formal: the tumor was inoperable and that he only had a few months left to live. Tom Parker then wanted to inform his public on his social networks by saying: “There is no easy way to say it, but unfortunately I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor and I am already undergoing treatment. (…) We are all absolutely devastated but we will fight until the end .We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness about this terrible disease and seek out all available treatment options.It will be an uphill battle, but with the love and support from everyone, we will beat this disease“.
