Tom Holland on a new Spider-Man: “I’d be a fool not to wear the costume again”

Tom Holland would like to return to the big screen for a fourth chapter of the franchise Spidermanprovided the story lives up to the previous three films.

After Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) – each of which was more successful than the other – Tom Holland says he is up for returning to his role as Peter Parker.

“Discussions have begun to try to find what the fourth film could look like,” confirmed the young actor, during a recent press conference with Critics Choice Association.

Holland, however, says he is “very protective” of his Spider-Man character and therefore wants this fourth move to do justice to the other three.

“I consider us very, very fortunate to have been able to work on a franchise that has improved over time; it’s something quite rare, so I want to protect this heritage,” he maintains. “I won’t make another film [de Spider-Man] just to do another one, it’s going to have to be worth it for the character.”

“That being said, if we find the right story, I’d be a fool not to put on the costume again [de Spider-Man]“, says Holland. “I owe everything to Spider-Man; I love the character and I love the people I work with, so yes I want to come back, but only if we find the right story.”
