It looks like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still hoping for Tom Brady to reverse his decision and be behind their center for the 2022 NFL season.
According to the NFL Network, the Florida organization would be ready to do whatever is necessary to facilitate the quarterback’s return. Recall that on February 1, the forties announced his retirement from professional football, after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl victories.
Visiting the podcast “Let’s Go!” Last week, Brady said he was “never to say never” when asked about a possible return to play. He added, however, that he was fine with his decision to hang up his cleats.
Also according to the NFL Network, the “Bucs” intend to turn to the transaction market to find a quarterback, if Brady does not change his mind.
The Buccaneers are reportedly considering acquiring Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans, who did not play in 2021. The 26-year-old faces more than 20 allegations of inappropriate behavior and assault sexual. The Tampa Bay club would also have inquired about the availability of Russell Wilson at the Seattle Seahawks.
In the case of these two kingpins, they hold a no-move clause. This means that they should agree to a possible trade with the Buccaneers.
