Tokyo Olympics | The National Assembly honors the athletes

(Quebec) The National Assembly paid tribute on Tuesday to Quebec athletes who took part in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

In all, 14 athletes and three coaches were honored and received a gift box from the hands of Prime Minister François Legault, in the newly renovated Parliament restaurant.

Among them was the para-swimmer Aurélie Rivard, double gold medalist, double bronze medalist and silver medalist.

In his speech, Premier Legault underlined that Quebec was represented in Tokyo by 67 Olympic athletes and 30 Paralympic athletes.

In total, the Quebec delegation won 21 medals.
