Sophie Marceau is everywhere! In May 2023, the artist published with Seghers a collection of short stories, fables and poems to the delight of his admirers. Baptized “La Souterraine”, this work was most pleasant to write as she explained on the airwaves of France Inter.
“If you discover another facet of me, I’m happy about it, because I have the impression that it’s closest to me: writing is not an interpretation, it’s not playing the role of another, which I also like very much“, explained Sophie Marceau to our colleagues.
And to go further with philosophy:”It’s a face-to-face with oneself, with one’s imagination […]. I like this enlargement of life, going higher, lower, wider, mixing fiction and reality“. Twenty-seven years after her first novel entitled “Liar”, the happy mother of two children still hopes to surprise with her pen.
“I need to write, it’s a moment when I find myself, when I make my balance. I can’t do it every day, but when I write, I write for long periods of time, very diligently, more in the morning“, added the actress who said to herself”rather serious” in exercise.

In a few months, Sophie Marceau will once again be in the spotlight! And for good reason at the start of the next school year, the ex-girlfriend of Christophe Lambert will be back on stage. From September 27, the actress will play opposite François Berléand in “La Note” at the Bouffes Parisiens, Audrey Schebat’s second play, as “C News” points out.
Facing the audience, the author will play Maud, a pianist whose talent is recognized internationally. As for his famous partner, he will play the role of his companion, a psychoanalyst who did not hesitate to drop everything without even explaining himself…
But the duo will end up putting everything on the table to try to understand each other. After having distinguished themselves in “Happiness Never Comes Alone”, Sophie Marceau and François Berléand will certainly leave no one unmoved with this sublime project. Case to follow!
