Today’s weather: we could break heat records in southern Quebec

The mercury could exceed the threshold of 15 degrees in southern Quebec on this Tuesday which will be generally sunny, while elsewhere several sectors will experience varying weather conditions.

The weather will therefore be generally sunny in Montreal and its surrounding areas, where it will be 13 degrees, while in Outaouais, the weather could break a record of 15 degrees, particularly in Gatineau.

Small downside for western Quebec, the rain will change to snow with accumulations of 2 centimeters, while temperatures will drop up to 4 degrees, or even 2 degrees depending on the sector.

The return of the sun will be accompanied by a few clouds in the center of the province with temperatures above seasonal norms, according to Environment Canada.

In areas a little further north, we can expect a few rain showers, particularly in Saguenay and La Tuque, according to forecasts from the federal agency.

The same scenario of weather alternating between sun and clouds is expected in Eastern Quebec, even if certain sectors, including Gaspésie, will be more covered than others.

On the other hand, the weather will be rainy on Wednesday, due to the arrival of a low pressure system which will cause the mercury to drop suddenly to reach 3 degrees in Montreal.
