Today’s weather: there will be sunshine on Tuesday, but it will be cold in Quebec

The light snow the day before did not leave a white carpet in southern Quebec which will return to sunny weather on Tuesday, but temperatures will remain rather cold.

Environment Canada is also forecasting sunshine almost everywhere in Quebec, with occasional clouds in the eastern sectors of the province, as well as in Saguenay.

In Montreal and its surroundings, the sunny weather will be accompanied by temperatures of 4 degrees, while in the west the mercury will hardly exceed the freezing point.

The sun will also benefit areas in the center of the province, but under the cold, particularly in Estrie, Quebec and Beauce, according to the federal agency.

In the areas a little further north of the province, a few snow showers will cease in the morning to give way to a clearing with an alternation of sun and clouds.

A similar forecast is also expected in Eastern Quebec, while strong winds with gusts of 50 km/h could sweep certain sectors.

The clouds will also be denser in certain sectors of the North Shore and Gaspésie where temperatures will be below seasonal norms.

The federal agency anticipates the same scenario of generally sunny weather for Wednesday in most regions of Quebec where it will still be chilly.
