Overview of shows not to be missed

The event

FouKi

Launched last winter, Zayon, FouKi’s fourth album, is even more appreciated during the summer. The Montreal rapper will officially open the festival in front of his compatriots this Friday evening, on the Bell stage. Accustomed to large crowds – he has given shows at Place Bell and at the Videotron Center – the 26-year-old rapper ensures a festive atmosphere, regardless of the weather.

Discovery

Fredz

The young Fredz has all the potential to become a star of hip-hop, in Quebec as in France, where he is also taking his first steps. Spotted by K-Maro, the 21-year-old Montreal rapper, who already has two albums under his belt, offers introspective R&B-tinged songs that showcase his storytelling skills, as does his catchy delivery. After stints at the Festival d’été de Québec and Osheaga in 2022, Fredz continues on his promising path with a presence at the Francos this summer.

Bell Stage, 7 p.m.
