The event: Hubert Lenoir

An evening at Les Francos with Hubert Lenoir always promises to be as eventful as it is entertaining, as colorful as it is crazy. His liveliness is matched only by the flamboyance of his staging. His last presence at the festival dates back to the time Darlene — his first album – and this time it is with a new offering that the singer-songwriter will come to delight his audience during a free concert on the main stage of the Place des Festivals. For what he described on social media as his “biggest show ever”, Lenoir will present Picture by Ipse, released last September. That promises.

Raphaël Bussières, aka Lucill

Discovery: Lucill

Lucill is indeed the French-speaking solo project of singer-songwriter Raphaël Bussières, although his second album is titled Snake Eyes. Notice to interested parties: Lucill worked in co-production with Francis Mineau, drummer of Malajube. The ex-bassist of Heat offers country-folk or rock-inspired pop that will be taken very well before nightfall and before the shows scheduled later in the evening by Michel Rivard, Luce Dufault, Rymz, Hubert Lenoir or even Clara Luciani. Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the SiriusXM stage, at the corner of boulevard De Maisonneuve and rue Clark.
