Candidates have until March 4 to gather 500 compliant sponsorships validated by the Constitutional Council. In addition, for their application to be validated, these sponsorships must meet certain conditions: the elected representatives must represent at least 30 departments, and less than a tenth of the sponsorships must come from elected officials from the same department. March 4 is also the end of the electoral campaign and the last day to register on the electoral lists.
