On Monday March 21, a team from France Télévisions followed a convoy which went to Chernihiv, a bombed Ukrainian city.
Monday, March 21, drivers drive towards Chernihiv (Ukraine) with generators and gasoline. Christian Matuseski, a French national living in Chernihiv says: “They bombed the power plant. It’s good, it’s dead, we have no more electricity”. In the distance, columns of smoke announce the arrival towards Chernihiv. “I look everywhere, the shells can fall on either side“, worries the driver of the convoy.
While his house was partially bombed, Frenchman Christian Matuseski kept his belongings in his car. Three days earlier, a shell killed 10 people in a bakery queue. Natasha, a resident of Chernihiv, shows her cellar which houses several children. “It’s not a place to live, we’ve been here for 25 days”, she testifies. A hundred inhabitants left the city with the convoy.
