Russian authorities announced on Saturday that they were fighting a major fire that broke out in a fuel depot in the city of Voronezh, capital of the region of the same name where the presence of the paramilitary group Wagner was reported.

“More than 100 firefighters and 30 vehicles are on site. According to the first information, there are no victims,” local governor Alexander Goussev said.
He did not specify the causes of the fire, but media published a video showing a military helicopter in the area before an explosion.
The city of Voronezh is about 550 km south of Moscow.
