Despite his legal setbacks, Donald Trump is favored to be the Republican candidate for the presidential election in November 2024.

Rule number one of parties family: avoid controversial subjects, politics, for example. Former US President Donald Trump’s name could, however, surface because 1) he is facing four criminal trials in the United States; 2) he is favored to be the Republican candidate for the presidential election in November 2024; 3) he has just been banned from being on the Republican primary ballot in Colorado, due to his participation in an “insurrection” in January 2021. This latest decision from the Colorado Supreme Court goes directly to the Supreme Court of the United States. Our colleague Yves Boisvert summarizes this latest debate for you.
