To Karl Tremblay, melodic architect of our collective soul

You knew how, Karl Tremblay, to animate with passion the words of Jean-François Pauzé, to transfer to us this passion, this desire for revolution. For 28 years, you were the beating heart of the Cowboys Fringants, shaping Quebec identity with contagious energy.

With you, we held our heads high, proudly displaying the colors of our culture. You took Quebec under your wing, no one has made La Belle Province sing and vibrate like you.

Your country, which you sang with so much emotion, remains to be done, and we will not fail to dedicate it to you. You sang the queen, but you were the king making each song a declaration of love to our land.

Quebec, in your voice, found its echo, and October saw you born as the architect of an era. But now, winter is coming without you to warm it, leaving a void that even dead leaves can’t fill.

Lévesque is waiting for you with the greats of our history, because, Sir, the swallows are straight ahead, and between two taxis, on Rue des Souvenirs, the shooting stars no longer say anything.

These days, America cries, but here below, it is the beginning of a national sadness. However, from Paris to Montreal, we are holding on. “Shooters” in your honor! Quebec is at half mast, but as long as we have love, your voice will resonate like an echo of hope.

Between the shack to Hector and the journey of emotions, between the merchant navy and the twists and turns of the days, you left an indelible imprint on our collective soul. Thank you, Karl Tremblay, for singing the symphony of our history using music as a paintbrush, coloring each note with the very essence of who we are.

May your refrains resonate eternally, and may the music of Quebec continue to vibrate to the sound of your heritage. Your high head will always inspire youth, and even if the good apple falls, your music will remain for all the hearts that have listened to you.

Goodbye, dear Karl Tremblay. You have become a legend, leaving behind a world where shooting stars will continue to shine.
