The Omicron variant has indeed arrived in Europe, and it continues to spread at lightning speed. The United Kingdom recorded 106,000 contaminations in 24 hours, a record for the country since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. In Spain, the mask is once again compulsory outdoors, and a curfew has been put in place in Catalonia, from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., except on New Years Eve on December 24.

On the Belgian side, cinemas and theaters are closed, cafes and restaurants must keep the door closed from 11 p.m. In Germany, sports competitions will again be played behind closed doors from December 28. In the Netherlands, a lockdown is in place until January 14, non-essential stores are closed. Finally, in Denmark, for at least a month, bars, restaurants, cinemas, theaters and museums can no longer open.
