French actor Gaspard Ulliel, who died last January in a skiing accident in Savoie, was to shoot in the series Tikkundirected by Xavier Giannoli (lost illusions) for the Canal+ channel.
He will be replaced by Franco-Quebec actor Niels Schneider, who made a name for himself in the film Imaginary lovers by Xavier Dolan.
Niels Schneider is currently promoting the French series totems, featured on Amazon Prime Video, which produces the sequel to The Spanish inn which his younger brother Alyosha is starring.
It is, according to several French media, that Niels Schneider will take over the role of Gaspard Ulliel in Tikkun, series inspired by the book silver and blood by investigative journalist Fabrice Arfi (on the scam surrounding the carbon tax). He will play alongside Vincent Lindon and Ramzy Bédia.
