Tiger Woods to return to competition next week

Ten months after suffering a serious right leg injury in a car crash, Tiger Woods will make a one-game comeback with his 12-year-old son Charlie at the PNC Championship next week.

This will be his first tournament, although unofficial in this father-child tournament. Last year, the Woods tied for seventh.

The organizers of the tournament, which will be played at the Ritz Carlton gold club in Orlando on December 18 and 19, are delighted with the participation of the Woods, to whom they had saved a seat.

Woods was seriously injured on February 23 in a violent off the road while driving at high speed in the Los Angeles area. He suffered multiple fractures of his tibia and fibula. An amputation has even been considered.

It remains to be seen when Woods, who owns the mark with 82 PGA Tour wins, will play in an official tournament. He said last week that he was still a long way from having the level of play necessary to compete against the best in the world.
