Few people knew that the romantic relationship that had united Tiger Woods and Erica Herman for six years was over. This news came into the public eye on Monday, as Herman revealed she wanted to lift a nondisclosure agreement, which Woods allegedly forced her to sign in 2017.
The lawyers hired by the ex-girlfriend of the most successful golfer in history have filed a complaint with the Florida court to request a declaratory judgment. According to the complaint, a trust run by Woods is trying to silence Herman with this nondisclosure agreement.
The Herman clan wants this agreement to be canceled, under a law prohibiting the application of such an agreement in cases of assault and sexual harassment.
The documents don’t say whether these allegations are being made directly against the golfer, but the complaint says Herman was “aggressively” encouraged to sign the agreement at the time.
Herman’s lawyers argue that Woods wants to force his former flame’s hand to prevent him from invalidating the deal, lest details about his intimate and personal life come to light.
In return, the plaintiffs would also like their client to be able to determine what will be revealed to protect her “personal experiences.” »
