For many football fans, the semi-final return of PSG against Dortmund, Tuesday May 7 in the evening in the Champions League, will be watched at the bar or in front of their television. Only a handful of supporters will have the privilege of going to the Parc des Princes for one of the most anticipated matches of the season. The price of tickets, which are at least 400 euros, even makes the event a real luxury. Tickets even reach 4,000 euros on the official PSG platform, Ticketplace. The set of five places is even sold for up to 17,000 euros, insane sums which provoke mixed reactions among supporters.

Maxime was ready to pay 600 euros for a place. He finally found one for 450 euros and will travel on Tuesday from Clermont. “I have never put in such a sum, but a semi-final return to the Parc there was not 50. It is at the stadium that you have to experience it”, he assures. It’s the same thinking that pushed Thomas, 27, to pay 700 euros. The ticket costs 500 euros, to which must be added transport from Rodez in Aveyron and accommodation in Paris. But as he has never seen PSG at the Parc, it is the ideal moment. “It will perhaps be one of the five best days of my life. Is there any value to these memories? I don’t think so, so we close our eyes”slices the supporter.

“Will fanatical people have the means to take places?”

Hugo gave up on him. The 24-year-old looked everywhere, but he couldn’t find anything for less than 400 euros. As a work-study student, it is impossible for him to put so much money on the table. “It’s almost a quarter of my salary. It’s either we go see the match and eat pasta, or we try to live comfortably and watch the match with friends.”he judges.

These high prices despair Elodie, but they no longer surprise this former subscriber to the Auteuil tribune for 20 years. She fears that she will still see stands filled with spectators and not supporters. “We are told that the whole stadium must be standing, but will people who are fanatical be able to afford to take seats to set the mood?she asks. I am not sure.” Although Élodie has given up on the idea of buying a ticket, she still tries her luck in competitions that offer places.
