Victor Hedman broke the deadlock halfway in the third period and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Thursday.
Hedman completed a brace 2:20 later.
Ondrej Palat and Anthony Cirelli were the other scorers for the Lightning, who had lost their last two games.
Andrei Vasilevskiy blocked 26 shots.
Brandon Saad and Pavel Buchnevich fought back for the Bues, who were trying to earn a third straight win.
Ville Husso made 31 saves.
Earlier Thursday, the Blues put goaltender Jordan Binnington and defenseman Justin Faulk on NHL protocol regarding COVID-19.
General manager Doug Armstrong said Binnington tested positive for the coronavirus.
There is some uncertainty as to whether Binnington and Faulk have symptoms or not.
“It’s not good news,” said coach Craig Berube. The only thing we can do is move on.
“This is one more obstacle to overcome. “
Tyler Bozak is the other Blues player who is on the protocol.

Josh Norris lets Senators win 3-2
Josh Norris broke the tie just 19 seconds after the Senators lost their lead and the Ottawa team beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 on Thursday night.
Norris jumped on a return throw and threaded the needle with 5:54 left to go. The Senators previously let a 2-0 lead slip away.
Alex Formenton hit the target twice for the Senators, who held on for a fifth win this season.
Anton Forsberg turned away 47 shots for the Ottawa squad, which still sits last overall in the NHL standings.
The Hurricanes suffered a third straight loss even though they outscored their opponents 49-20 in shots.
Teuvo Teravainen put the Hurricanes on the scoreboard in the third period and Andrei Svechnikov evened the score just 105 seconds later.
Antti Raanta, who suffered a first regulation loss in five decisions this season (3-1-1), blocked 17 pucks in front of the Hurricanes net.

Blackhawks win 4-3 over Capitals
Marc-André Fleury stopped Alex Ovechkin in a shootout and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Washington Capitals 4-3 on Thursday night.
Patrick Kane scored the deciding shootout goal as Fleury had some help from his posts to guide the Blackhawks to a third win in five games.
The Chicago team have won seven of their 10 outings since Derek King replaced Jeremy Colliton as interim head coach.
The Capitals lost by letting a lead slip away for the second time in two games. They led 4-1 against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday before losing in regulation.
Alex DeBrincat, Dominik Kubalik and Seth Jones found the back of the net for the Blackhawks.
Nic Dowd, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Garnet Hathaway have scored for the Washington team, which is now 0-7 combined in overtime and shootout this season.
Fleury and Vitek Vanecek both concluded the clash with 25 saves.

Panthers beat Sabers 7-4
Anton Lundell netted a brace whose decisive net and the Florida Panthers erased a three-goal deficit in a second straight game Thursday, winning 7-4 over the Buffalo Sabers.
Aaron Ekblad has also scored twice, while Lucas Carlsson has signed a career first goal.
Sam Reinhart and Jonathan Huberdeau each added one goal and three assists.
Florida lost 3-0 after one period and 4-1 after 41:16.
Captain Aleksander Barkov was missing a seventh game in a row with a knee injury.
The Sabers’ goals came from Vinnie Hinostroza (twice), Dylan Cozens and Casey Mittelstadt. Buffalo has suffered three losses in a row.

Sharks win 2-1 over Islanders
Erik Karlsson scored 39 seconds into overtime and the San Jose Sharks beat the New York Islanders 2-1 on Thursday.
Karlsson converted a two-on-one with a fifth goal this season.
The Sharks won a third straight game, while the Islanders lost for the ninth in a row.
Nick Bonino was the other scorer for the winners.
Timo Meier had two assists; he is eight points in his last five meetings. Adin Hill made 24 saves.
Mathew Barzal hit back for the Islanders, whose record at brand new UBS Arena is 0-4-1.
Ilya Sorokin stopped 33 shots.
The Sharks will play at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
The Islanders will visit the Red Wings on Saturday.

Bruins shut out Predators 2-0
Jeremy Swayman was perfect in 42 shots and the Boston Bruins shut out the Nashville Predators 2-0 on Thursday night.
Swayman recorded his first shutout this season and the third of his NHL career. He was tested several times in the last third, including stopping a Matt Duchene pitch during a power play.
Swayman also closed the door on Colton Sissons with just three minutes remaining, helping the Bruins win for the second time in their last three outings.
Jake DeBrusk scored his fourth goal of the season and a first in seven games. Brandon Carlo completed the score for the Bostonians.
Juuse Saros blocked 31 pucks for the Predators, who suffered a second three-game loss.
DeBrusk opened the scoring in the first period, when he landed a good, precise wrist shot on the power play. It was the Bruins’ fourth goal with an extra player in their last three games.

Kaprizov scores twice in Wild win
Kirill Kaprizov had two goals and the Minnesota Wild won a fifth straight game Thursday, winning 5-2 over the New Jersey Devils.
Ryan Hartman had one goal and two assists, with Rem Pitlick and Dmitry Kulikov also finding the back of the net.
Minnesota have dominated the NHL with 64 goals since Nov. 2, in 15 games.
In the history of the Wild, the club have never done better than the current 33 points following the first 23 games of a season.
Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 29 shots, being beaten only by Ryan Graves and Tomas Tatar.
The Wild will now prepare to host Toronto on Saturday.
Mackenzie Blackwood made 33 saves for New Jersey, which will play in Winnipeg on Friday.

Sixth straight victory for the Stars
Jason Robertson scored twice and the Dallas Stars triumphed 3-2 over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.
It was a sixth straight victory for the Stars and a seventh in a row at home. They outscored their opponents 21-7 in goals in their recent streak.
Tyler Seguin also moved the ropes for the Texas roster. Joe Pavelski and Jani Hakanpaa both had two assists.
Jake Oettinger made 20 saves and is 5-0. He’s allowed two goals for just a second time this season.
Goalkeeper Daniil Tarasov gave up three times in 37 shots in goal for the Blue Jackets. Elvis Merzlikins and Joonas Korpisalo both missed the game due to an illness unrelated to COVID-19.
Boone Jenner and Alexandre Texier hit the target for the Blue Jackets, who were outscored 15-5 in goals in the first three games of their road trip.
