The premises of the management of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) in Fontaine and those of the Pont-de-Chéruy barracks, both located in Isère, have been searched since Wednesday morning, we learned on Thursday 30 May franceinfo with the Grenoble public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré.

These searches come more than three years after the suicide of Master Corporal Cyrille Minard in February 2021 at his home. He officiated in the premises of the Pont-de-Chéruy barracks. Hearings were also carried out, some under police custody. The Grenoble public prosecutor’s office confirms that these acts were carried out following letters rogatory from two investigating judges as part of the investigation for “involuntary manslaughter” aimed at establishing possible criminal responsibilities in the suicide of the professional firefighter and committed trade unionist.

Cyrille Minard had filed two actions against Sdis 38, which he accused of excess of power. After his death, the Grenoble administrative court rendered two decisions in his favor in March 2022. Three months later, in June 2022, the inter-union FA SPP-Pats, CGT and Sud filed a complaint with the Grenoble public prosecutor’s office for ” manslaughter”, considering that the staff sergeant had ended his life following a long depression caused by “the relentlessness of its leadership”.
