Three teams that play better away from home

Unlike the 29 other teams in the National Hockey League, three teams would benefit from always playing on the road.

They are the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles Kings. Indeed, these three teams have a positive record abroad while things are different at home.

Martin St-Louis’ men have a 7-9-2 record in Montreal, but are much more comfortable on opposing ice, as evidenced by their 8-4-3 record.

As for the Devils, they find themselves in a similar situation to the Habs with a 7-8-2 record at home and a 10-5-0 record away from Newark.

Finally, in the case of the Kings, the difference is even more marked. The Californian team has a 6-6-3 record in Los Angeles while it finds itself at the top of the NHL abroad thanks to an impressive 13-1-1 record.

The Kings currently find themselves in the playoff picture, but this is not the case for the Canadiens and the Devils, who would have every interest in quickly finding a solution for the games played on their own territory.
