Three suspects arrested in connection with the death of a toddler in Bois-des-Filion

Three suspects were arrested Tuesday morning in connection with the death of a three-year-old child in Bois-des-Filion, a suburb in the northern suburbs of Montreal.

The toddler was found seriously injured in a residence in the 34e avenue, near the Mille-Îles River, after a call to the police late Monday afternoon.

Despite the resuscitation measures carried out, he was pronounced dead on the spot. The intermunicipal service of Terrebonne / Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines / Bois-des-Filion refuses to confirm the nature of the injuries or how they were inflicted.

But on Tuesday, police arrested three suspects, who are currently being questioned. The police do not want to confirm whether they are related to the little victim, since the investigation is still ongoing and the examination of the surroundings of the crime scene continues.

The Sûreté du Québec lends a hand to the intermunicipal police service, and its divers search the Mille-Îles River, looking for evidence.
