Three-Rivers | Lack of manpower, five shows canceled

Culture Trois-Rivières has decided to cancel five shows scheduled for May and June due to a labor shortage. Marie-Mai’s show, which was to take place on June 11 at the Salle J.-Antonio-Thompson, is one of them.

The singer reacted Tuesday evening on her Instagram account: “I am so disappointed, I was eager to come and play at your place and find the energy that we know you. Each show what we did there has always been memorable. She ends her message by stating that she will still be in Mauricie, in Shawinigan, on June 3, to present the show. Just me and her.

Other shows are also affected by this decision, namely a performance of the play The dark side of the moon by Robert Lepage scheduled for June 24, two shows by PA Méthot (May 28 and 29) and one by Billy Tellier (May 21).

The director of performing arts for Culture Trois-Rivières, Mélanie Brisebois, told Radio-Canada: “It is out of kindness for our teams who are already overloaded and exhausted that we are making this decision”.
