The Covid is indeed back at the Robert-Herbin sports center. Pascal Dupraz explained this Thursday at a press conference that three players were positive for Covid-19 and would therefore miss the reception of Lens this Saturday at Geoffroy-Guichard (5 p.m.).
The coach of ASSE explained that the club had until then counted up to five positive cases since the recovery in early January. Among them two players have therefore finished with the period of isolation and will therefore be able to claim a place in the group.
The fear of another case between now and the match against Lens?
By Saturday’s meeting Pascal Dupraz, who did not want to reveal the names of the players affected, fears the possibility of discovering new positive cases within the workforce: “It’s a long time for us and for everyone. It’s when we thought it was over that it starts again“.
As a reminder, according to the Covid protocol of the LFP, a match can be held as long as a club has 20 players (including at least one goalkeeper). Several players are also uncertain for this meeting. Romain Hamouma’s return is “premature“.
