three police officers injured during a road check, one person arrested

Three police officers were injured, around 4:30 a.m., Sunday April 21, during a road check, on the ring road near Porte d’Auteuil, in Paris, reports a police source to franceinfo, confirming information from BFMTV. A policewoman was “seriously affected” in this “road accident”but its “vital prognosis is fortunately no longer involved”, writes the Paris police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, on X. Two other agents were in relative emergency. Another person involved in the accident was in absolute emergency

Driver’s attempt to flee

During a road check, the police vehicle was hit from behind by another vehicle, which led to a collision with the controlled vehicle, specifies the same police source. The driver of the vehicle which hit the police vehicle then fled on foot before being arrested. The Judicial Accident Processing Service (STJA) is responsible for the investigation.
