Three people had to be hospitalized after being stabbed at Charles P. Allen High School in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Monday morning. A student from the school was taken into custody.
Police confirmed they attended the school in the Bedford area around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers arrested one person, confirmed to be a young student at the school.
Police said three people were taken to hospital, but did not say whether they were also students. The severity of their injuries was also not disclosed.
“The school has been placed in confinement, secured and has been closed for the rest of the day. Police have completed their search of the school and are working with management to safely remove students and staff,” the Halifax Police Department said in a statement.
The police investigation is continuing in this case.
