Three people on the run after an attempted burglary which left three injured in Maricourt

Three people are on the run this March 17 after a attempted burglary in a house in Maricourt, a town in the Somme located between Albert and Péronne, committed a little earlier in the day.

Around 11:50 am, the gendarmes are warned a fight is going on rue des Forges, between the presumed burglars and the three inhabitants of the accommodation. Themselves warned by the triggering of their security alarm, while they were near their home, these three occupants are therefore came face to face with the criminals. A confrontation took place, slightly injuring the three inhabitants of the House. The perpetrators of the attempted burglary then fled driving the car of their alleged victims, abandoning theirs.

Forty gendarmes and a helicopter mobilized

The gendarmes were immediately mobilized to try to find the fugitives, without result for the moment. At the height of the intervention, about ten patrols, i.e. forty soldiers and a helicopter were deployed. Dams have also been set up on the border of the departments of Pas-de-Calais, Oise and Aisne.

The three occupants of the house, slightly injured, were treated at Péronne hospital. An investigation, entrusted to the Péronne research brigade, has also been opened.
