Three new resignations from the cabinet of government spokesperson Prisca Thevenot

Three new advisors have left the office of government spokesperson, Prisca Thevenot, according to a decree published in the Official Journal on Saturday April 27, confirming information from the left-wing daily. These departures bring to seven the number of collaborators who left, in less than a month, the minister’s team, which included nine members.

According to the decree, it was “terminated functions” the special advisor, Barbara Frugier, the parliamentary advisor and local elected officials, Margot Provot, as well as the advisor in charge of the arguments, Maxime Boudet. The three interested parties “submitted their resignation”according to Release.

Appointed in January, the minister lost her speech advisor at the beginning of April, questioned by a Mediapart investigation revealing her “attraction” for the ideas of the far-right essayist Alain Soral. Then, in mid-April, his three main advisors (director, deputy director and chief of staff) slammed the door at the same time, immediately replaced by other ministerial collaborators. The spokesperson had meanwhile found herself at the center of a mix-up over the terrorist threat, by announcing a “attempt to take action” during the Easter weekend, before having to correct his own statements during a report by the Council of Ministers.
