Three Natura 2000 sites with issues related to waterways

Sophie Coste-Durieux and Amanda Cocquelet are Natura 2000 project managers, hosted by the town hall of Pouzin, site manager.

The Printegarde site is the smallest of the three sites, 677 hectares, it is of great interest to birds, including in winter, because they use it as a migratory stopover.

The “Rompon-Ouvèze-Payre” site concerns 18 municipalities for a total area of 1054 hectares with a mosaic of fragile environments all linked together.

The site “Alluvial environments of the Rhône downstream” extends over 2111 hectares between Saint-Vallier and Donzère, it presents a remarkable natural heritage with very diversified ecosystems such as forests which have developed on the alluvium of the Rhône river.
