Jorge Sampaoli rebounds on familiar ground. The Argentinian technician, who resigned from his post at Olympique de Marseille this summer, has just signed on Thursday, October 6, with Sevilla FC, where he has already officiated between 2016 and 2017.

The signing of the 62-year-old coach comes the day after the dismissal of the Spaniard Julen Lopetegui, after the heavy defeat conceded by Sevilla at home against Borussia Dortmund (1-4), in the Champions League. Jorge Sampaoli, under contract until June 30, 2024, will have the heavy task of reviving the Andalusian club, 17th in La Liga, and penultimate in its C1 group.
