Three minors aged 14, 15 and 17 placed in police custody as part of the investigation into the arson of the Auzon space in Carpentras on the night of Saturday to Sunday last were presented to Justice. All three were placed under judicial control. They are prohibited from making contact and leaving their homes between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. They should be placed in a closed educational center very quickly.
According to the first elements of the investigation, smoothly conducted by the Carpentras police, the voluntary act is beyond doubt, but the motive has not yet been clearly established by the investigators. Investigations are continuing to determine what led three young people from Carpentras to this irresponsible gesture which snatches from Carpentras one of its most appreciated cultural and associative settings.
