Three people have been indicted for murder as part of the investigation into the death of Mayliss, the Evry prosecutor’s office announced on Saturday February 24. The body of the 18-year-old young woman was found Thursday near a tunnel under the A6 motorway, near Chilly-Mazarin (Essonne). The victim disappeared in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) on February 14.
The three suspects were also indicted for damaging the physical integrity of a corpse and altering the inventory of a crime scene. The autopsy carried out on Friday Indeed “revealed multiple stab wounds all over the body”. “Burn marks were found on the body, which we believe to be post-mortem at this stage”said the prosecution.
The suspects deny
Among those indicted is Mayliss’ 16-year-old ex-boyfriend. He was incarcerated, pending a debate on Monday concerning his placement in pre-trial detention, the prosecution said. A 20-year-old young man and a 16-year-old teenager were like him indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
A final suspect, aged 15, was placed under the status of assisted witness for assassination and indicted for endangering the physical integrity of a corpse and modifying the inventory of a crime scene. He is the subject of a provisional educational measure and has been placed in a home.
None of the accused admits their involvement, according to the Evry prosecutor’s office.
