Three men suspected of assaulting the grand-nephew of Brigitte Macron, Monday May 15 in Amiens (Somme), were placed in pre-trial detention before their trial, postponed to June 5. Jean-Baptiste Trogneux had been beaten up just after Emmanuel Macron’s intervention on television.
It’s in front of this family chocolate factory Trognous in Amiens (Somme) that several arrests took place, after theassault of the grand-nephew of Brigitte Macron, on the evening of Monday, May 15. On Wednesday afternoon, three of the alleged attackers were brought before a judge and remanded in custody, pending trial on June 5. The three men would have known each other on social networks, and used to demonstrate together against the pension reform.
“They were kicking him”
They are accused of having struck Jean-Baptiste Trognous. But how did this altercation start? According to a neighbor, “they were kicking him, and there were a lot of people around”. One of the guards on sight, released without prosecution, claims that they only defended themselves. A version denied by Jean-Baptiste’s lawyer Trognous.
