Three Jays players in elite MLB squad

(Toronto) Three Toronto Blue Jays players were named to Major League Baseball’s elite squad on Tuesday.



The first goal Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the second goal Marcus Semien and the left-hander Robbie Ray were thus honored.

The outfielder Teoscar Hernandez is part of the Meritorious Second Brigade.

Guerrero has hit for .311 this year, producing 111 points and tied for first with the American in home runs, at 48.

Semien hit for .265 with 102 RBIs. He also set a big league record for a second baseman hitting 45 long balls.

The American’s Cy Young recipient, Ray was 13-7 and an average of 2.84.

Guerrero and Semien were finalists for America’s Most Valuable Player. The honor went to Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.
