Three Frenchmen, César de Bus, a Provençal priest, Marie Rivera nun and Charles de Foucauld were thus proclaimed saints.
The life of Charles de Foucauld is extraordinary. “He was a very wealthy viscount and he left everything, abandoned everything to become a hermit in the desert”explains the journalist. In Rome (Italy)many French people had made the trip. “It really is a beautiful ceremony.“, reports a seminarian. “Charles de Foucauld, he really did a lot for everything that is interreligious. It’s very topical and I’m happy to be here today”says a woman.
