Three environmental associations have filed a complaint with the Toulouse public prosecutor for water pollution on the A69 construction site between Toulouse and Castres, reports France Bleu Occitanie, Friday April 19.

Eau Secours 31, France Environmental Nature and Friends of the Earth Midi-Pyrénées accuse the concessionaire of the A69, Atosca, of not respecting obligations in terms of water management on the motorway construction site. The associations denounce violations concerning the management of rainwater and groundwater. According to them, Atosca would pollute groundwater.

Supporting observation report, the Eau Secours 31 association raises several “serious breaches of prefectural requirements” on four sections of the site in Haute-Garonne and Tarn, notably the “discharge of polluted construction products into natural environments” or “the circulation of construction equipment in the middle of the water table”.
