The snowy episode has passed in the Massif Central, but be careful in the Alps. The Alpes-Maritimes, Savoie and Hautes-Alpes remain placed on orange “avalanche” alert on Monday March 4, according to a Météo-France bulletin published on Sunday. “The probability of spontaneous avalanche outbreaks is high this Sunday evening and tonight”, specifies the forecaster on his site. Charente-Maritime is still affected by orange “flood” vigilance.

“On all these massifs some avalanches could affect mountain infrastructures and threaten mountain roads in the usual corridors. This avalanche situation persists until Monday morning and then decreases significantly”, projects Météo-France. The “avalanche” alert lasts until Monday, mid-morning.
