At least three people were killed and five injured on Thursday, November 23, in a Russian bombing in the Kherson region, in southern Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities announced. According to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko, this “powerful artillery bombardment” damaged “more than 60 residential buildings and farms”. The head of the Kherson administration, Roman Mrochko, for his part reported on Telegram that a 51-year-old woman was injured in Russian bombings on the city’s suburbs.
“We already know that the bombing was carried out using cluster munitions”, said the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriï Lermak, on Telegram. Cluster munitions are a very controversial weapon, because the charges they disperse can cause many collateral civilian casualties. Russia uses them, as does Ukraine.
