This week, the migratory monitoring mission installed for 3 months on the cliffs of Leucate counted in a single day the passage of more than a thousand white storks which come to breed in Europe at the end of winter. An ideal spot to follow the passage of these great migrants and the opportunity for us to discover a world: that of the 300 species of birds that live here or cross our department each year, listen!

It is the president of the Ornithological Group of Roussillon, Yves Aleman who serves as our guide. Among our guests, a bird singer capable of reproducing nearly 300 songs from the nightingale to the seagull, but also Enzo, 10 years old, elected to the municipal council of children in Sorède and who explains to us why the children of the village decided to install nesting boxes for chickadees and bats.
