Several Russian regions are in a state of emergency. The Ural River overflowed, submerging entire districts of large cities.
In Russia, villages were invaded by the river and city centers were submerged. Part of the country is under water. A state of emergency has been declared in the Urals and Western Siberia. Authorities expect unprecedented flooding. In some regions, governors are calling on residents to evacuate. “Please follow all instructions. Take your papers and valuables”indicates one of them.
Mass evacuations
Temporary accommodation has been built. Ministerial agents are building dams with sandbags to try to stem the flood, and curb the consequences of this extremely intense bad weather. Due to melting ice and torrential rains, the Urals overflowed. 90,000 residents have already been evacuated.
