Created in 1994, civic service with the Unis-Cité association enables young people to act concretely for society; environment, digital, solidarity, health, culture, seniors, education. Unis-Cité allows young people to be part of a positive dynamic.
To do a civic service, no diploma is required. It is for young people aged 16 to 25 to act for an average of 8 months for solidarity missions within associations and public services. Missions compensated 600 euros net per month. Registration in a few clicks, and information sessions for a first immersion.
Created in March 2021, the Senior Solidarity Civic Service was created thanks to the impetus of Unis-Cité and thanks, among other things, to the support of the Ministry of Solidarity and the Civic Service Agency. The objective of the system is to fight against the isolation of the elderly and to promote old age professions.
In 2022, 6,000 young volunteers have already carried out a civic service mission with seniors.
What are the missions offered within the civic solidarity service for seniors? What do they consist of? As part of their mission, volunteers may be required to go to the home of one or more elderly people, to intervene only in reception structures (EHPAD, senior residences, etc.).
What profiles is the civic solidarity service for seniors aimed at? How to integrate a mission? It is neither a job nor an internship, it is a social commitment lasting 6 to 12 months. It is aimed at all young people aged 16 to 25 (up to 30 for people with disabilities), regardless of qualification. The only prerequisite is to want to work with the elderly.
In return for their commitment, the volunteers receive compensation of 601 euros net per month. The weekly working hour volume fluctuates between 24 and 35 hours per week.
Any student (regardless of their level of studies) can ask to perform civic service as part of a gap year.
As part of the SilverEco Festival in Cannes from September 12 to 13, a Senior Civic Service stand is at your disposal.
