France does not forget Iran. Thousands of people gathered Saturday, October 29 in Paris and other French cities in support of the protest movement that has shaken Iran since the death of Mahsa Amini, ddied on September 16 three days after her arrest in Tehran by the morality police.

In Paris, 2,500 people took part in the rally at Place de la République, according to the Paris police headquarters. The demonstrators were waving numerous Iranian flags and placards with slogans such as “Women, life, freedom”, according to an AFP journalist.
In Toulouse, they were about 150 to parade. Armed with Iranian flags, the demonstrators formed a human chain chanting “Women, life, freedom”, also noted an AFP journalist.
According to the Rhône prefecture, around 250 people gathered in Lyon. They responded to the call of the Collective of former students of Lyon and took part in a march starting from Place Bellecour. They were brandishing signs “Solidarity for freedom”, “We are all in revolt”, “#MahsaAmini”.
