Among our European neighbors and throughout the world, some go beyond the vaccination pass. Gilles Papin, journalist at France Télévisions, takes stock of the situation.

In France, the National Assembly adopted the vaccine pass on Thursday, January 6, but in other countries of the world, the measures are already much stricter. “In Indonesia, the vaccination obligation concerns all adults and it entered into force last February. However, on December 1, 2021, the vaccination rate was only 35%. In Central Asia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan , two authoritarian regimes, decreed it in July 2021 for all adults without exception “, reports Gilles Papin. In Austria, all adults will have to present a complete vaccination pass from February 1, 2022. The sanction incurred for refractories is 600 euros.

Some countries introduce compulsory vaccination, but only for a small part of the population. In Italy, the vaccination obligation for people over 50 will come into force on February 15. In ten days, it will be Greece’s turn to impose compulsory vaccination for those over 60 years old. The fine incurred will be 100 euros per month. Since January 1, the vaccination obligation has been in effect in New Caledonia.
