The return to Earth of Thomas Pesquet and his crew was postponed due to complicated weather conditions in Florida, the landing point. This is scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, very early in the morning.

In the International Space Station (ISS), Sunday, November 7, everything had been planned. Thomas Pesquet and three of his partners had even made a last hug before the normally scheduled departure for Earth. Unfortunately for them, this had to be postponed. 420 kilometers below, the winds and waves of the Atlantic off Cape Canaveral in Florida (United States) prevented a smooth landing.

The separation of the capsule and the ISS is now scheduled for Monday, November 8 at 8:05 p.m. The capsule will be detached using a mechanical impulse. It will continue to circle the Earth for 7:30 am at 28,000 km / h. The descent will then take place, with a significant braking on arrival in the atmosphere. Experts call this moment the “three minutes of terror”, during which the cabin shield can, for example, rise up to 2000 degrees. It is at 10,000 meters that the parachutes will open for a landing now scheduled for 4:30 am Tuesday, November 9.
