After being delayed for 24 hours, the return of Thomas Pesquet from space will be on Tuesday, November 9 in Florida (United States). The French astronaut will no longer board the International Space Station.
On board the International Space Station, it’s time to say goodbye and hand over the keys. Thomas Pesquet will never be on board the station again and wanted to pass the baton to Anton Chklaperov, the Russian cosmonaut. “I can’t say how grateful I am for all the work done by so many around the world to make it possible for so few of us to be stolen, for the good of all.”, insisted on declaring Thomas Pesquet.
While the French astronaut is due to land in Florida on Sunday, November 7, the weather is proving risky for a safe return. To avoid any mishap, the return of Thomas Pesquet and his teammates is set back 25 hours. Monday November 8 at 8:05 p.m., the capsule will separate from the station and leave theISS continue driving at 28,000 kilometers per hour. Then the capsule will revolve around the Earth for eight hours and half before entering the dense atmosphere on the night of Monday to Tuesday, November 9.
